Four categories. Stated in full.
Most clubs mumble about money. We print it — the joining fee, the year's dues, and the honest state of the list.

The waiting list is real — about fourteen months at present. Every candidate is proposed and seconded by members of five years' standing.

The committee holds forty places in this category and defends them at every meeting.

Golf by invitation of a playing member, four rounds a season. Many never take the fifth.

No joining fee, and a parent need not be a member. Ability decides, and always has.

Every fixture from the Drive-In to the Foursomes. The ballot treats all categories alike.

The academy takes members’ children first — and takes ability wherever it finds it.

Fourteen clubs that honour the Dormie card, from the Highlands to the Algarve.
Membership is by application.
Every candidate is proposed and seconded by members of five years' standing. If golf brought you here alone, the secretary will gladly make the introductions — that is half her art.
